Semillas De Amor 1 & 2 Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy flour, meat, cooking oil.

Semillas De Amor 1 & 2 Group's story

Luisa is one of the members of her group, called Semillas de Amor (seeds of love) 1 & 2. This group has 10 female members, who sell clothes, shoes, cosmetics and other products. Some make their sales as street vendors and others have their businesses in their homes. This group is located in a poor community in the west of Santo Domingo, the capital city of the Dominican Republic.

Luisa's family consists of her three children and her partner. She lives with her children and her long-term partner. She tells us that she likes to attend church and her most difficult challenge is to have a successful business.

She is very excited to be receiving her sixth loan from Esperanza Internacional. She will invest the money in her business where she sells empanadas (a fried dough filled with different ingredients). She will buy flour to make the empanada dough, cooking oil and some meat, vegetables, cheese and others ingredients to fill them.

Luisa's profits will be reinvested in her businesses, and she will also use some to cover household needs.

One of her dreams is to see her children become professionals with stable lives and safe homes. She also dreams of having a successful business. She thanks you all for your support!
