Yadira Ester's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy an industrial sewing machine.

Yadira Ester's story

Yadira has had her industrial mop micro-business for some time now, having started the business ten years ago. She previously worked as a labourer in the same job but saw an opportunity to start her own business.

The production process consists of gathering together bits of material that she buys by the kilo, and then putting them together on a sewing machine. She thereby creates the final product: industrial cleaners or mops that sell very well in large ironmonger shops.

Yadira is currently applying for a Kiva loan, her first through the Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, to buy an industrial sewing machine and to be more productive at her business.

Yadira is a mother to five children who have benefited from her work. She has been able to cover household costs and move forward with her partner.

Yadira's future goal is to make improvements to her workplace.
