Over the last year, Caroline has grown her piggery business to its current capacity – producing about seven pigs every six weeks and selling them to local residents and butcheries. Caroline would like to increase her sales volume and become a supplier to major supermarkets. She used the Kiva loan to enlarge the pig house so that she will be able to increase production.Caroline’s business is doing well.

She also bought a cow with the other part of the loan to start a family project. She also diversified to buying and selling clothes which has seen her manage to repay her loan without any challenges. She is managing to send her 2 kids to school and also looking after her old grandmother, she is also paying fees for an orphan left to her by her sister. She now keeps record of her business. She hopes to get a second Kiva loan so that she purchase more clothing stock.
