Zoila Elizabeth's story

22-year-old Zoila is a hard-working young woman. She makes a living by selling food and pupusas (stuffed tortillas). Due to her parents’ financial situation, she was only able to study up until the ninth grade. She has a partner. She has three children with her husband and she works hard every day in order to provide for them and give them everything they need.

Zoila has been selling food and pupusas for ten years. This business generates the income she needs to be able to feed and clothe her children. When she was little, she went through a lot due to her parents’ lack of economic resources; for this reason, she does not want her children to go through the same experiences as she did.

She needs the money from the loan to buy tomatoes, pork crackling, meat, cream cheese, cooking utensils, and other supplies because the demand for her food is increasing every day.

Zoila’s dream is that her son would become a professional. She also dreams of being able to expand her business.
