Iman's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped To pay for construction material needs to continue building her house.
Iman is 50 years old, and the married mother of two children. She is a Palestinian refugee who has been living and working in a Palestinian camp since she was born. She used to work in agriculture, but age and her weakening body have forced her to open her current grocery store. The income she earns running the store is necessary to help her husband, who works as a fisherman with a very low income, to support the family and their children's increasing needs. Her business is going just fine, but she does not earn enough to cover unexpected living expenses. Since Iman is continuing to build her house, she is acquiring her seventh loan from Kiva's field partner, Al Majmoua, in order to pay for the construction materials needed. Her previous loans helped her a lot in developing her newly-established business, and she has proven to be reliable in paying back her loans. Iman is working hard to keep developing and expanding her business properly, with hopes to start wholesale trading in the future.
