Loundry Group's story
The Loundry Group is composed of 5 women. All members own different businesses and have been involved in that approximately 1 to 2 years. The businesses they run aim to support their husbands in meeting their basic needs and children education fees. Yoneta, aged 38 who is in the middle of the picture is the group’s representative Yoneta is married to Anselmus, aged 47 and the mother of five children, ages between 16 to 4. Four of them are still enrolled in the school. Yoneta owns a business of creating and selling fabric woven. She is grateful for the talent she has enable her in generating more income for the family. She was taught by her mother on how to make yarns into the beautiful weaving. She has been engaged in the business for a year. She needs 2 weeks to create one sheet of sarongs while shawl she needs 2-3 days to create. She usually produces the woven based on the customer’s order. Yoneta intends to buy more yarns for the continuation of her business; therefore she needs more cash. When the members and Yoneta got explanation on the group loan product from an Account Officer, they then formed the Loundry group and requested a loan of totaling IDR 10,000,000 from TLM. They are appreciated for Kiva, via TLM still cares to the people like them.
