Genaro's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to invest in her store and have more dairy products and buy rice, sugar, oil, beans, dish soap and laundry soap.
Genaro, who is 64 years old, is a hard-working and entrepreneurial woman. She was not able to go to school. She is married and is the mother of five children, of whom three are already married and have formed their own households, but they live in the same community. The other two are not with her, because they died due to the armed conflict that the country suffered. Only she, her husband, and a grandson live in her house. For 15 years, Genaro has had a little store where she sells dairy products. She also sells soft drinks, juices, crackers, and candies. The store is in her house, and while she sells products in the store, her husband goes out to do agricultural work. They both contribute to this activity. Because she cannot help him with the work, she helps him economically with part of the earnings from the store to purchase compost and pay for labor, and she also raises pigs seasonally. She is applying for the loan to invest in her store and have more dairy products, because many people look for them and there are times when she is left without merchandise. But in addition to this, she also wants to buy other types of merchandise such as rice, sugar, oil, beans, dish soap, and laundry soap. Genaro wants to improve her house and build another room for her grandson.
