Parbati's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase a cow for starting her milk-selling business.

Parbati's story

Forty-five-year-old Parbati is an enterprising woman. She lives in Kururpara village in Kandi, West Bengal. She lives there with her husband and one son. Her son is studying in grade 10. Her husband is engaged in a grill business.

Being a housewife, the strong determination of Parbati led her to overcome the social barriers and she managed to convince her family to run a milk-selling business to provide a better life to her family members. Out of her family’s small income, she was hardly maintaining her family. For additional income, Parbati wants to purchase a dairy cow to sell milk in her locality. Thus, she has asked for a loan from Kiva's partner BJS.

With her efforts, she hopes she might increase the family's income for her family’s well-being and secure the family's future.

She conveys her thanks to her lenders.
