Eusebia's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy material to make petate (tule).

Eusebia's story

Eusebia is 37 years old and married. She has two children who go to school. Her husband works in agriculture and livestock commerce.

She comes from a humble family. Eusebia grew up working in the corn fields and making petate [matting]. She lives in a zone where they only engage in the cultivation and production of petate. This is unique work in the country, where leaves are taken from a type of palm to make this product.

She has been doing this work since she was 12, when her mother taught her. To make a mat takes her the whole day, she has to start at seven in the morning until five in the afternoon. She then goes out to sell in the area, and she gets $5 per petate.

She needs the loan to buy the material to make petate (tule). This work gives her the income to support her children. Eusebia dreams of a better future for her children, and she also dreams of a bigger home in better condition.
