A loan helped buy a printer.

Simon's story

Simon is 40 years old and lives in the town of Kiyinda in the Mubende region of Uganda. He is married and has two children, with one of them currently in school. For the past two years, Simon has been working hard to manage his photo studio business, which is operating a photo studio.

To help expand his business, Simon has requested a loan of 2,000,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy a printer, and will help Simon to generate greater profits and increase the number of photos printed. Simon hopes that in the future he will be able to earn more profits.

Simon is a member of BRAC's Small Enterprise Program (SEP). The program primarily serves small entrepreneurs like Simon who do not have enough collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown too large for microloans.
