Mariama Talisma's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy foodstuffs, such as rice, onions, and refined oil.

Mariama Talisma's Group's story

This group was created 6 December 2010 during the inauguration of their banc villageois. The group is made up of women who, for the most part, have acquired a solid base in small-scale commerce, which is their main form of work.

Mariama Talisma (who is seated on the far right with her hand raised [in the photo]) is the featured borrower of the group. She is 48 years old, married, and the mother of four children--two daughters and two sons.

Mariama Talisma runs a general grocery store. This new loan will allow her to buy foodstuffs such as three sacs of rice at 13,000 francs per sac, two sacs of onions for 10,000 francs CFA per sac, and 20 liters of refined oil for 1,000 francs CFA per liter. She will resell these goods at retail.

Earnings will go towards her children's schooling and healthcare.
