Virgen Del Carmen Group's story

Isabel is a woman of 41. She is married and has four children, ages 4, 8, 11, and 14. Her business is tailoring. She is a good mother, entrepreneurial, dedicated, patient, responsible, and very hard-working. She runs her business in the southern zone of the city. The area is] characterized by its natural beauty, diversity of species, and optimal conditions for the practice of extreme sports. It has a warm, subtropical climate with a temperature that varies during the day between 21 and 35 degrees [centigrade]. Isabel has a dark complexion, brown eyes, long brown hair, short stature, and a robust physical build. Her mother tongue is Guaraní, which she speaks in her area, and she speaks Spanish because of general culture and for her business. (She is in the center, wearing a brown scarf.) She shares her life with her husband, who works as a salaried driver, and with her children. The three older ones go to school, and the youngest is still not of school age. They live in a house of their own, which is made of wood with a tile roof and cement floor. It has potable water, electrical energy, and sewer service. Because of the need to improve their income, she formed a bank with people with businesses such as a bakery, artesania in plaster, selling cheese, selling food, making knitted wear, selling meat pies, and selling natural medical products in order to apply for a loan and improve their businesses. Her business is tailoring, where her creativity and experience adjust [articles of clothing] to the measurements of her customers. The last ten years have been spent among fabrics, linens, needles, and forms. She makes pants and jackets to measure, and she also modifies every type of clothing according to the whims of her customers. The cutting table is where the adventure begins, with agility, precision, speed, care, and dedication. The result is an article of clothing that is made to measure. "I make every type of clothing. I also do alterations such as raising pants hems, expanding the waist, or expanding the back," she comments. The good thing about her business is that she has long-term customers. The problem is the lack of capital for the purchase of an industrial sewing machine. Her dream is to improve her business. She wants to expand her business through the purchase of an industrial sewing machine to replace her old machine. This is her second loan sequence with the institution in the 10 years that she has had this business independently. It is for these reasons that Isabel is applying for a loan for the purchase of an industrial sewing machine to replace her old machine.
