Tum's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy a motorcycle for her children to commute to work.
Tum is a 48-year-old married mother with three children in her care. She resides in Takeo Province in Cambodia. She earns some income from cultivating rice and she has been in this work for over 28 years. Two of her children are factory workers and her husband is 49 years old, he is a fish pastes vendor (prahok). Together, they can earn approximately $23 daily. This is her second loan cycle with Kiva. Now Tum would like to request a loan because she is short of finances to buy a motorcycle for her children to commute to work. With this loan, she will have enough money to buy a motorcycle for her children to have better traveling conditions. In the future, she wants to save money to build a new proper house and support her youngest child to get a higher education.
