Lourdes Elizabeth's story
“El Grupo De Credito” meets every two weeks in the district of La Victoria 2 in the city of Manta. This city is known for its gorgeous beaches that are visited throughout the year and for being a city of unequalled beauty with many tourist attractions. Senora Lourdes lives in this city. She is 24 years old, married and they have a 5-year-old child who is in school. Her husband works fishing. Lourdes is a woman who likes to work and to earn her own money to help support the family. Together with her brother, she works selling food. They have a cart from which every afternoon and evening she sells roasted corn on the cob, skewers, and roasted chicken wings, accompanied by soft drinks or water, whatever their customers prefer. She has spent more than 2 years in this business which allows her to earn something for the benefit of her home. This loan is to buy meat, corn on the cob, soft drinks, water and other supplies to prepare the food. She has been with “El Grupo De Credito” from the beginning and she likes it because with the loans she can continue to improve her life. Her dream is to give the best to her child.
