Milagros2 Group's story
The group “Milagros2” [“Miracles2”] will start its first loan cycle with Pro Mujer as part of the Focal Center of Collpani. The group is composed of nine members and is led by a governing board whose president is Mrs. Vaneza. The businesses of the community association members that are supported are varied: clothing sales, coca leaf sales, natural medicine sales, flower sales, juice sales, food sales and quilt sales. The loan will benefit the group of small business entrepreneurs, which includes Mrs. Vaneza. She indicated that this is the first time that she has partnered with Pro Mujer, joining as a result of a promotional invitation about the work the institution does in the area. Currently, she has a clothing sales business. She learned the business several years ago from her mother, and she decided to start this business out of economic necessity. The loan will be used for raising capital through the purchase of wholesale clothing that she will acquire from wholesale vendors on the border of Peru and Bolivia. Later, she will sell it at her clothing stall. This form of work allows her to generate resources to support her family financially as she is married and has a son. When asked why she likes Pro Mujer, Mrs. Vaneza replied that she likes the training provided by the institution.
