Gregoria's story

Gregoria, age 64, dedicates to the domestic tasks of her house and also sells basic necessities at her store. She grew up with her parents who worked selling commodity products and in agriculture. Gregoria is a hardworking woman who characterizes for her deep commitment towards her family and for her service to other people. She doesn’t have any school degree since she dedicated most of her time to the household chores. Her family is formed by her husband and her three children. Two of them live in the U.S. and the other one attends to a local school. Gregoria has 15 years of experience in sales of different items and staple grains. She has also participated in a bakery workshop and now she makes bread every weekend to improve the family’s finances. She is requesting a loan to buy supplies for her store and staple grains to sell. This will allow her to improve her incomes and keep supporting her family. Her goals for the future are to pay her loan and acquire a new one to improve her house, and to support her child with his studies.
