A loan helped to buy calves and lambs for fattening and resale.

Kulumbu's story

Kulumbu successfully paid off her previous loan, which she used as intended. She is thankful to Kiva and to everyone who gave her financial support. She currently has four cows, 13 sheep, 14 goats, 18 lambs and a horse on her farm as well as 0.32 hectares of land where she grows potatoes and corn. Her monthly income is 32,000 KGS. Kulumbu has approached Bai Tushum Bank for a loan of 150,000 KGS. She plans to use the loan amount to purchase calves and lambs for fattening and resale. She will save profits from the loan toward building a house for her family.
