Evelina's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped To rebuild the water purification business by purchasing an electric generator, filter systems, etc covering 3000 families.

Evelina's story

Evelina is an associate requesting a special loan from Esperanza's Water Project, which gives associates and members from social groups in any community. Esperanza serves this type of loan to help their communities. In this special loan, Evelina from Santo Domingo North, started this water project in order to provide purified water to the inhabitants of their community, delivering the service at a low price, but with high quality and proper standards. She wants to use this loan to rebuild her local business by buying 5-gallon water bottles and labels, change system pieces, an electricity generator, to paint the walls and other investments. She also want to restructure its distribution point where she sterilizes gallons, fills bottles with purified water and delivers them to the neighbors that go directly to the business to buy them or sellers that distribute them. Evelina is in change of the water project called Agua Meta (Water Goal), with 6 employers. Approximately 15,000 people live in their neighborhood, and her plan is to distribute purified water to 3,000 families, at a cost of $0.75 US for a 5-gallon bottle of water. With this, Evelina said, she wants to impact different areas: economic, health, employees and many others. This community, like others in the Dominican Republic, is an extremely poor area in Santo Domingo with many health problems, potable water scarcity, diseases, pollution, etc. This project future plans is to serve as least 10,000 families of her community. Evelina thanks God, Esperanza Internacional, and all of you for this opportunity. In her name and the name of all of her co-workers, she thanks all of you for your support!
