Irshad's story

Irshad is a 42-year-old married mother of five children living in the area of Lahore, Pakistan.

Irshad owns a small business selling ladies' ready-made garments from home. She purchases cloth from the market at a low price, sews it and sells it for higher prices in her community. The ladies of town like her garment collection and selection a lot. The demand for clothes has increased because people are demanding clothes related to summer weather.

Her husband meets all the household expenses from his earnings and she contributes her earnings only for savings.

She has requested a loan so that she can buy more varieties of cloth for sewing into garments so she can fulfill the demand. Irshad wishes for the bright future of her children. Her dream is to provide a better education for her children. She is very thankful to Kiva and field partner BRAC Pakistan.
