Ton's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to start a new business (pepper growing) so that she can earn more income to support her family.
Ton, 27, is a farmer living in Memot district of Kampong Cham province. She is the mother of two children who are underage for school. She struggles for a living via cassava growing on 2 hectares of farmland; she has been involved this business for seven years. Ton earns a lower income than before, as the crop is unhealthy and it cannot produce good outputs. Thus, to have more capital to support her business, Ton is applying for a new loan with VisionFund (Kiva’s partner), and this is the third time for her. With the previous loan, which she fully repaid, it enabled her to support her family with enough healthy food. Ton will use her loan to start a new business (pepper growing) so that she can earn more income to support her family. She hopes that the black pepper trees will grow better and produce more yields so she can get more income and update her lifestyle better than before.
