Meri's story

Meri is from Agarak town of Meghri region. She is married with her husband, two children, mother-in-law and sister-in-law. Meri helps her family in farming work. They currently keep two cows and also have a beautiful fruit orchard. They grow apricots, peachs, figs, plums, walnuts and pears. Willing to enlarge her family's farm, Meri asks this loan to purchase three cows for their farm. As this is her first loan, it has been approved within the framework of the joint initiative between Kiva and SEF. The First-Chance loan program provides loans to people who didn’t have access to credit products before because they have no credit history. Through this joint initiative, almost 500 borrowers like Meri get a chance to have their first loans and develop their businesses. Meri hopes for the lenders' support.
