Maria Encarnacion's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to purchase more merchandise and stock her products, so to help her mother with the expenses and get ahead.
Maria Encarnacion's story
María is a 19-year-old young woman. She is Ecuadorian and currently is single. She lives in her mother's house. Thanks to the efforts and sacrifice of her parents, she was able to finish primary school and since she was very young she has worked very hard to be able to help her mother and siblings. Together, they live in an extremely rural sector known as Laipo Grande. This sector is located in a very high zone of the city of Latacunga, which belongs to the province of Cotopaxi in the Republic of Ecuador. Currently, María has a grocery store which is going very well for her and she wants to stock it with new products to gain the loyalty of the customers in the area, since María, despite her young age has never had the opportunity of having someone or an institution that can help her with funding to realize her dream. Today, María is very happy that Kiva offers her the opportunity to grow her business. She is asking for the loan to purchase more merchandise and increase her revenue. María and her mother want to thank Kiva for making the growth of their work life possible since with the end they will be able to undertake their business and get ahead together.
