Cerro Gavilan Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay small photovoltaic solar electricity systems for their houses.

Cerro Gavilan Group's story

The Cerro Gavilan group is composed of the neighbors of a remote community of the Mexican State of Oaxaca, where due to the lack of electricity service through the national grid, people light their houses with candles and other similar elements. They have decided to install third generation solar home systems to overcome this situation. This could be a great improvement for the young peasant Florentino, standing third from the left in the picture. He, his wife, and their little daughter will have electric lighting by night and connection to some communications devices. The loan is asked to fund solar systems for this group and will be paid back with the monthly fee for first-year-of-operation maintenance services they pay.
