but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped To make her own bricks for her building supplies business.
Ngezi Group's story
Tambudzai found it difficult to take care of her four children by herself after her husband passed away. She had to take over her husband’s business of selling building material. She has expanded her business from only selling bricks to supplying sand, quarry, and concrete pavers as well as transporting them. She is currently working with her other two children who have just completed their formal education. Tambudzai formed a group called Ngezi with her other colleagues who are in business. The group is based in New Marimba suburb of Harare. They have managed to save money as a group and have received financial literacy training from Thrive Microfinance. The group plans to continue helping each other and working for their families. Tambudzai needs a loan for $300 so that she can produce bricks in large quantities and also to buy other building material in order to minimise the waiting period her clients endure before receiving their orders. The group hopes that a loan from Kiva will help in achieving their objectives.
