A loan helped to buy fertilizer for growing rice in order to gain a higher yield.
Nim's Group's story
Nim is a 35-year-old mother with three children, two of whom are in school while the third is too young to attend school. Nowadays, she is living with her family in a rural village located in Kampong Cham province. Nim grows rice as the main source of her family’s income and buys more rice to sell as an additional source of income to meet her family’s needs. Due to a lack of funds, Nim is now leading a group to apply for their first Kiva loan via VisionFund. She plans to use her loan portion to buy fertilizer for growing rice in order to gain a higher yield. She hopes this loan will help her earn more income and be able to keep sending her children in school.
