Abdias's story

Abdias is 48 years old, lives with his spouse and son in their own home built of rustic materials. He lives in the Aramango district which is located in the Bagua province, Amazon region in the northern mountains of Perú. Life in this district is quiet, the residents work mainly in agriculture, trade and cattle. Abdias works in agriculture, specifically growing pineapples. He has various years of experience in this line of work and has very good personal and business references in the area. The loan that he will get will be used to purchase compost and fertilizers to maintain his pineapple crops and to hire labor during the harvest season. This way, Abdias hopes to offer better quality pineapples to his customers which will have a positive impact in his revenue and, therefore, improve the quality of life for him and his family.
