Rose's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support
A loan helped to buy cereals for sale.
Rose is a married mother of 4 lovely children. To help her husband provide for the family, Rose ventured into farming 20 years ago. Currently, she she keeps cows and sheep on her farm for milk, meat and wool. She also makes extra money arranging the logistics of getting cereal produce from local farmers to their buyers. She understand that for this business to be successful, she needs to rely on two things: relationships and capital. She has been able to build strong relationships in the 20 years she has been farming, what she seems to be lacking is capital to secure cereal inventory. Rose is seeking a loan of KES 100,000 to buy cereals. She plans to use the money to aggregate more produce from local farmers at fair prices and use her better understanding of the market conditions and prices to sell at a profit. The impact of your loan will be twofold: Smallholder farmers selling to Rose will be relieved the burden of selling and that will only help them to focus more on production; Rose’s family also stands to benefit greatly from the improved income and this will go a long way to elevate their livelihood and improve their living conditions.
