Pyi Taw Thar Village Group 1's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to repair cropping machines as well as pay for the inputs for the farm.

Pyi Taw Thar Village Group 1's story

The fund will help 30 members in the group. The featured borrower, Khin, is 33 years old and married with a daughter who helps Khin on the farm in her free time. Khin and her husband farm on their 10 acres of crop farm that they got as heritage. They also have a small dry food shop in the village. The loan from Proximity will enable her to repair cropping machines as well as pay for the inputs on the farm such as gas for machines and labor.

She aims to expand her farm acres and make her store bigger, so that they will boost the family's monthly income. Khin is very much into education and trying to save for her daughter's school fees as much as she can.

Pictured above are the CBO leaders from Pyi Taw Thar Village Group 1, named (from right to left) Khin, Thandar, Kay, Khine and Nu. They oversee the group of 30 members and the fund will help them purchase fertilizer and other inputs for the crop farms.

This village is located in the Myanmar Ayeyarwaddy Delta Region and consists of 400 households. They mainly focus on crop farming and also raise livestock as savings
