Robert's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to purchase a tractor and cultivate agricultural land.
Robert is 50 years old. He lives in Zugdidi District with his wife and two children. Robert has requested a loan from local financial institutions several times for an agricultural business start-up, but without any success. His loan request was always rejected, because of low income and the lack of experience in his new business, which is usually demanded by local credit providers. Robert has a plot of agricultural land where he grows nut trees. He does all relevant agricultural work to ensure a good quality harvest. The harvested products are sold locally. He also has two milk cows, whose milk is used in dairy products. The startup program, which is a joint initiative with Kiva and Credo, enables him to get a loan for purchasing a tractor. He will perform agricultural work with the tractor on the lands of nearby farmers, mainly during tilling and sowing seasons, and will be paid by landlords. It will significantly increase his income and Robert will be able to provide better living conditions for his family.
