Bina's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support
A loan helped to pay for the repair cost of her husband’s auto rickshaw.
Bina is 30 years old. She is married and a housewife. She lives in a small village, Birpara in Alipurduar district, with her husband, Bablu, and two children (a son and a daughter). She has completed her education up to grade 9. Her children are reading in grades 7 and 2, respectively. Bina is a homemaker who looks after her children and solely manages household chores. Her husband is an auto driver by profession. He offers transportation service in the village and nearby villages using his three-wheeled auto rickshaw in order to make a living. He carries peoples from one place to another. He has been involved in this business for many years. Now the auto needs repair because it has been damaged from overuse. He wants to repair it as soon as possible, as it is the main income-generating source for their family. As a responsible wife, Bina decided to help her husband and applied for a loan from BJS (Kiva’s partner) to cover the cost of repairing the auto rickshaw. Bina hopes that with the help of this loan, her husband can repair the auto and can provide better transport facilities to the village people, and thus, can earn a lucrative income. Her dream is to provide a better education to her children. Bina is thankful to Kiva and BJS.
