A loan helped To purchase improved farm inputs that will increase her maize yields.

Rabeccah's story

Rabeccah is a Babban Gona maize farmer from Kugawa Village. Rabeccah joined Babban Gona to create a better life for her children. In the past, Rabeccah suffered from poor yields that crippled her ability to pay for her children's school fees. Now that she has joined Babban Gona, Rabeccah has the chance to attain yields of up to 30 bags of maize/hectare, double the national average in Nigeria and earn an income of up to $2,000/hectare. Through Babban Gona’s input loan, she will have access to high-quality farm inputs such as fertilizers, herbicides, and improved seeds that will increase her yields and income considerably. With ambitious goals of harvesting 30 bags of maize this year, Rabeccah can now ensure that her children get a post secondary school education.
