Ywar Thar Aye Village's story

The featured borrower, Kyaw, is 40 years old, married, and supports a family of seven (five children). Four of them are students and studying in nursery school, fourth grade, seventh grade, and ninth grade. The eldest son is helping in the fields to boost the family's income. Farming runs in Kyaw's blood, as it has been done through generations.

Like many farmers in this area, savings are low before the harvest season. The loan will help him purchase the necessary farming inputs such as fertilizer and petrol for farm equipment. These inputs are vital for his crop farming to increase yield. His main priority plan is saving as much as he can for his four children to finish their educations. He also volunteers in the local community to support the members.

Ywar Thar Aye Village’s main focus is crop farming, as well as other seasonal plantations such as coconut trees, flowers, and banana trees.
