Gulnora, 49, is married and has two sons. She has a high school diploma. In the past 29 years she has earned her living by breeding livestock and cultivating land. She owns three cows, twenty-three sheep and a 1.0ha plot of land where she grows corn. She sells everything to wholesale buyers. Today Gulnora is a successful entrepreneur. Her monthly income amounts to about 13,500 som (KGS). She is requesting a loan of 150,000 som (KGS) from Bai-Tushum bank to be able to expand her business. The loan will help her to buy additional livestock and increase her herd. Gulnora plans to reinvest the profits in her business and improve her family’s well-being.
