A loan helped to buy agricultural supplies for his coffee plantation.

Jose Armando's story

José is a small producer with 8 years of experience in coffee growing. He says that from a young age he dreamed about working in coffee production, and today with 39 years of age he’s still passionate for what he does. In the past cycle a great percentage of his coffee crops were affected by a plague called “Roya”, putting at risk his production. Thanks to the quick mitigation measures, he managed to save a minimum production needed to keep the farm afloat. For this current cycle, José has designed an improvement plan of nutrition for his coffee trees, which will increase the nutrition of the plants and ultimately improve his harvest. He is requesting a loan to buy agricultural supplies needed to achieve his purpose. This small producer’s goal is to boost his farm’s productivity and increase his incomes to improve his family’s conditions.
