Kandion's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to purchase peanuts to process and resell by the pail.
Kandion's Group's story
Created on August 12, 2009 at the inauguration of the 'banc villageois’, this group is composed of women who have experience in the 'banc villageois'’program. They are all from the same village and share strong ties of solidarity and mutual-assistance. Their main work involves small-scale commerce. Ms. Kandion (sitting at the far right with a hand raised) is the featured borrower of the group. She is married, 48 years old, and the mother of seven children (4 boys and 3 girls). She is active in selling peanut butter. With this new loan, she plans on purchasing 10 sacks of peanuts worth 100,000 francs and then process them for resale by the pail at 12,000 francs each.
