but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy green papaya, sugar, carrots, garlic, peanuts, oil and other items to make atsara and peanut butter.
Mary Ann's story
Mary Ann is thankful that she was granted a PHP 10,000 loan that she used to buy raw ingredients needed to maker her "atsara" (a Filipino version of pickle relish) and peanut butter to sell. Through her earnings she is able to support her family and meet their daily basic needs. She would like now to apply for PHP 12,000, which she will use to buy ingredients such as green papaya, sugar, carrots, garlic, peanuts, oil and other items needed to make "atsara" and peanut butter. She is positive that her earnings will increase as she expands her business. She is thanking God and you in advance for the financial help that will be given her, for it will surely help cover their daily sustenance. Mary Ann aims to sustain and grow her appetizer and sandwich spread business. She wants to save more than enough to assist her parents in their old age. She faithfully meets with her co-fellowship* members to share stories of her work every week and draw strength and inspiration from her religion, which she studies. * All CCT community partners/clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study religion, build social capital and repay microfinance loans.
