A loan helped to buy fertilizer and feed.

Perpetua's story

Perpetua is a 63-year-old widow from the town of Badian in the province of Cebu. For 20 years now, she has been engaged in a hog raising business. She also does farming of vegetables and corn and raises goats for a living. Perpetua’s challenges include her limited funds to keep her pigs and farm healthy. She is asking for a loan to buy fertilizer and feed. Perpetua can work better once her fertilizer and feed are taken care of. This means that she will have the chance to buy feed per the sack and not on a per kilo basis. This will help fatten her hogs, which will be easier to market in the coming months. Any additional income that she will generate will be used for healthy meals and reinvestment in the same business.
