San Juan Group's story

The San Juan group is in in the second cycle of the women's program committee, where all work and help each other to get ahead. They have chosen mutual aid as a goal in order to succeed in improving their living conditions and those of their family. Eulalia is part of this group, and works at making and selling chipas, a traditional Paraguayan food. This is her way of life, and with it she helps her family and loved ones. She notes that over time she wants to improve every day in order to have more income to help her family. Eulalia is asking for this loan to buy starch, cheese, anise, butter and other ingredients in order to be able to make her chipa (bread rolls) for sale. All members of the group are doing their very best to achieve their goals. In the photo 18 women can be seen, since the group has this number of members, but in this loan cycle only 17 people are asking for a loan, and one appears as a saver.
