Robby's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped To purchase two big Zoona-branded kiosks to open up two new locations in George Compound and Serenje.

Robby's story

Robby is a father of two and he runs his own business providing financial services to people in his community. His wife helps him run the business. Robby loves his business because it provides an essential service to the community and it earns him an income that helps sustain his family. This is the fifth loan that Robby is accessing from Kiva. He has successfully repaid three of his loans and continues to do well on his third loan repayments. The biggest challenges he faces are low working capital, and transport for visiting outlets. He currently runs a total number of seven Zoona mobile money transfer outlets. This means that he has to insure that all seven outlets have enough money to serve customers. Robby’s face lights up when he talks about the benefits his business has had on the community. He says the business has helped create employment in the community and the people do not need to travel long distances to receive and send money for their needs. His dream for his business is to keep growing it so that he can open more outlets and employ more people. The proceeds from this venture will help take better care of his family and his children, who will have the opportunity of going to better schools and getting them a college/ university education without the worry of fees. Robby has requested for this loan so that he can expand his business by opening two more locations. He needs the Kiva loan so that he can purchase two big trading kiosks.
