Thandiwe's story

Thandiwe is excited to be getting her second Kiva loan. She is making good repayments and her business continues to grow.She is taking out a subsequent loan to enable her open a new outlet so that she can expand her business and provide for her son. She is a single mother aged 44. Thandiwe describes her business as the quickest way for people in Zambia to send and receive money. She has been running her business since 2013. With her first loan, Thandiwe was able to increase the working capital at her shop, this helped her to serve more customers and she is now ready to open another Zoona mobile money transfer outlet in Kanyama compound. By opening this new outlet, Thandiwe will give make it much easier for people in Kanyama township to transfer their monies without having to go to the central business district. Thandiwe thanks the Kiva lenders for lending her money to improve on her business and her life.
