Benkadi Dounguel Group's story

Mamadou is a man in the middle of the photo holding the sheep. Mamadou is the treasurer of his group. Jovial and warm-hearted, Mamadou is a 52-year-old married father to four children. His children are aged between four and 18 years old, two of whom are currently receiving an education. He is putting this loan towards his sheep business. He purchases his livestock from the local market and resells them in Bamako. Illiterate, Mamadou has been running this sheep business for over 10 years. It is his dream to rear larger livestock. He has been granted a provisional benefit of 10,000 to 20,000 FCFA. Mamadou turned to RMCR for a loan so he could purchase many sheep. He wants to take out a more substantial loan which will help him purchase three sheep and two cows. He is happy with his work because the profits allow him to meet his family's needs and also pay two of his children's school fees.
