Lakhi's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to purchase a cow to expand her milk selling business.
Lakhi is a married woman who is 25 years old. She lives in a remote village called Baganbari in the Alipurduar district of West Bengal. Her family consists of two members (her husband and their one toddler son). She is very energetic, hardworking and enthusiastic and always devotes her time to getting her family ahead. Her husband is engaged with grill manufacturing work. Lakhi rears cows and has supplied milk in her village for many years to earn additional income for her family. Initially, she started the business with a low profile and limited investment and purchased two calves. Gradually, she expanded her business, and now, her customers are also gradually increasing. In order to earn more Lakhi wants to purchase one more cow to serve more customers; that's why Lakhi is asking for a business loan from BJS, a Kiva partner. With the help of the generated profit, she will be able to raise the living standards of her family. Lakhi is very happy and conveys her thanks to her lenders.
