Roberto Augusto's story
Roberto is a young man that lives with his mother and his 9 siblings (3 brothers and 6 sisters). His father died a few years ago. His mother is a housewife, which is why Roberto and his siblings need to find a way to work to help their mother. They are in a critical economic situation due to lack of work. Even so, Roberto didn't think of stopping his studies in Industrial Electronics. which will allow him to generate greater and more quality income because it is currently a very profitable career. He feels it will benefit him to have a family business and in this way help his mother, who needs the help. He began working at age 19 to help his mother with the payments for his education, but the economic situation was increasingly complicated. This led his to KIVA to seek help, because not having the loan would affect him dramatically, he would have to stop studying and find a job that would allow him to save enough money to retake the classes. Roberto says to the people of KIVA: "Never lose hope for anything, especially studying. There is always an alternative and in this case the help of KIVA is very beneficial. Thanks to KIVA for the great help, because without it I couldn't finish my studies and become a professional."
