Mujeres Trabajadoras Ii Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy potatoes, rice, corn on the cob, chicken, beef, pork, vegetables, fruits for juices and other products to make lunches and other typical foods.

Mujeres Trabajadoras Ii Group's story

Ana is the youngest of a communal bank made up of women who work selling food in kiosks located in a place which receives a lot of visitors due to its tourist attractions. These include an image which is said to be miraculous, swimming pools, a striking river, games for children and green spaces, among other things. She is in charge of the procedures for applying for help from the local government to renovate their small kiosks. Up until now they have managed to put up sunshades and to put cement in the floors. These were previously made of earth, meaning they would turn to mud in the rain, causing their sales to lower. Ana says that ever since she was in school she helped her mother in the food sales business, and when her mother died Ana continued on with this work. Ana is a single mother and lives with her father and two children, who are studying. Ana and her colleagues are going to invest the loan in the purchase of products such as potatoes, rice, corn on the cob, beef, pork, vegetables, fruits for juices and other products to make lunches and other foods which are typical of the Carchi Provence. Ana says that with the individual loan that they received previously in this institution they renovated their business. Ana would love to be able to improve her business and increase sales in order to have better earnings and be able to save some money. In the future, with this capital, she will buy stoves, tables, seats and dinnerware, and together with her colleagues continue adapting the kiosks little by little until they are well presentable.
