Timalitahima Changli Group's story

Salima is a 43-year-old business woman from Changli in the Northern region of Ghana. Adisah is married and has 5 children. She is the individual pictured with the hand raised among members sitting. Salima is a member of a ground nut processing group that has been in business for the last 5 years. The name of the group is ‘Timalitahima Changli’. She earns a good profit from the business because the group has been receiving financial support from Grameen Ghana to process high quality ground nut oil and cake for the Ghanaian market. Salima and ‘Timalitahima Changli’ group have asked for a loan of GHS 14,100. Salima’s share of the loan is GHS 1000 which she would use to buy ground nuts from local farmers for processing. Salima aspires to produce in large quantities in the future and earn more income as well as to repay this loan and support her family with food and pay school expenses for my children. Salima thanks Kiva lenders for their continuous support.
