Lludy's story

Ms. Lludy is a member of the “Mujeres para el futuro II” (Women for the Future II) microfinance institute. She lives in the Tarapoto district of the department of San Martin. She is a 26-year-old mother with a one-year-old son. Her live-in partner works as a teacher in a public institution. Lludy decided to invest her first 300.00 PEN loan in purchasing provisions to sell them to the local residents.

She currently has a mini market in which she sells only a few goods, such as basic need items and beauty products, which generates a daily income for her that helps her repay her loan punctually.

With this 700.00 PEN loan, which will be repaid in 4 months, she will purchase 1 sack of rice, a box of cooking oil, assorted brands and sizes of detergent, fruits and vegetables in order to better stock her business. Lludy states that she feels good about the opportunity to grow as a female entrepreneur—which is what she wants to be in the future—that Manuela Ramos has given her.
