Dae Da Now Village Group 3's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to help a large group of farmers rent farm equipment, buy fertilizers and purchase petrol for farm equipment.

Dae Da Now Village Group 3's story

The fund will help 26 members of the Dae Da Now Village Group 3. Pictured above (from left to right) are Tun, Soe, Myint, Win and Hla. The Featured Borrower, Tun, has a ten acre crop farm in the Delta region of Myanmar, and like many farmers in this area, savings are low before the harvest season. The loan will help him purchase the necessary farming inputs, such as fertilizers and petrol for farm equipment. These inputs are vital for his crop farming to increase yield. With this loan from Proximity Designs, he no longer has to borrow from a local lender with much higher interest rates. Tun is 58 years old, married, and supports a family of five (three children). One of his sons is helping with his paddy farming, in order to save some money. Tun is hoping to build a secondary business of planting beans for the next season, from income generated from this loan. The CBO leaders oversee the group of 26. The fund will help the group purchase farming essentials before harvest time. Dae Da Now Village’s main focus is crop farming, as well as other seasonal plantation, such as betel trees and flowers, for additional income.
