Nohemi Elizabeth's story
Nohemi is 36 years old, is a single mother, and works as a public accountant in the mercantile exchange. She lives together with her two children ages 17 and 22. Currently she is completing her degree in Business Administration, and is working toward her final requirements prior to graduation. She comments that education was never as important to her as it is now, since when she first began her university studies she started without a sense of direction or end goal, but now she realizes that she made the right decision. Her main goal is to finish her university degree. She aspires to a better position in her field in order to offer better living conditions to her two sons. Nohemi's most impressive qualities are her ability to work in teams and her personal organization and leadership, both in her work as well as in her studies. She is also very good with numbers. Her motivation is professional growth, since only this way will she be able to accomplish social and economic goals within her field. She wants to contribute to the development of her country, offering useful skills to society via her professional training. She wants to position herself in the labor market so that she can generate more income for her family. She wants to always be the best example for her sons, so that they will be able to overcome any challenges and take on any goals, just like their mother. In the future she hopes to obtain a better position with a higher salary and good working conditions in order to continue supporting her sons in their education and their other life projects.
