Sirima is the man in the middle, holding in his left hand the rope tied to the goat. Sirima is a forty-eight Malian. He went to school in the national language and has three children, one of whom goes two school. His oldest is thirteen. His spouse is a housewife. Sirima is a breeder. He has been in this business for four years. Lacking funds to develop his goat farming business, he is requesting a loan from the IMF to increase his liquidities, purchase more goats, and ultimately improve his working capital. He purchase his stocks from local fair and retail for cash. With help from IMF’s loan support program, he had access to many resources including education, healthcare, and support for his family’s living conditions. His dreams is to gain a lot of money and raise many goats. He makes a profit of 150,000 XOF per loan cycle.
