A loan helped to buy a new griddle.
Maria Dolores's story
María makes tortillas and pupusas to earn a living so that her family does not experience scarcity. She lives in the family home with her children. She is single. She started selling pupusas ten years ago. She tends to her business alone, and sometimes based on demand she hires one person to help her. She learned this work from her mother. It is an advantage to work alone. Her work equipment is not in good shape. She has decided to take out loans to buy a new griddle so that her business can be more productive and her clients will be well-served. Her challenge is being exposed to theft. She hopes to continue working and supporting her family.
